Lousitania Germany sunk the passengr ship. British liner sunk, which caused many american deaths. During 1915. The significance is the Lousitania is one of the causs why we entered WWI.
Zimmermann Telegram During 1917. Germany asked Mexico would help fight war they would receive their land back. Mexico turned down opportunity. The significance is the second reason why we entered World War I.
Red Scare American public saw the Russian revolution as a threat to society. The Red Scared occurred through the 1919 to 1920. The Red Scare was significant because it was a irrerational fear of communism influence in the United States.
League of Nation During 1920-1946. Internaltional organization founded to preserve member nations borders and independence.The significance is the U.S. doesn't join so it weakens the program.
Palmer Raids Attorney general violated civil liberties in arrests of foreign born citizens during the raids. The Palmer Raid occured during the 1920. The significance is the abuse of government authority of the name of national security.
Teapot Dome Scandal Secretary of interior Albert Fall leased oil reserves at Teapot Dome, WY without competitive bidding( submit business deal). The Dome Scandal occured during the 1920's. The significance was first cabinet member to serve jail time.
Dust Bowl Severe dust storms in Great Plains. During the 1930's. Significance is poor soil conservation which caused negative effects on the farming communities.
Huey Long Huey Long was a Lousiana politician. During the 1930's. Significance is Long the share of wealth program was an extreme alternative to New Deal.
Bonus Army Unemployed veterans demanded bonus pay. Veterans dispersed by washington, D.C. police and army. 1932. The government showend a little sympathy to the unemployed.
Wagner Act The government recognizes the labor unions to exist and the workers. It is also known as national labor relations. It is established in 1935. Significance it is established to workers rights to form unions.
Lend Lease Established to supply military and other material to those fighting against Axis. The Lend-lease was during 1941. It showed indirect involvement in World War II.
Pearl Harbor Attack Japan attacked Pearl Harbor at Hawaii, which caused 2, 300 U.S. deaths. December 7, 1941. The siginificance is it caused to the U.S. entry in the World War II.
United Nations It is international organization. Founded to promote peace, human rights, avoidance of war. Was during 1945. The significance the U.S. joined which strengthen the organization.
Manzanar it was internment camp for Japenese Americans during ww II.
