Agrarian Is division of land property or advancement of agriculture.

Bureaucracy A government of many people in power.
Civilization A complex, developed culture
City-states A state that has self-govern cities
Classical Word that describes writing or language of Greek and Roman works.
Domestication To tame animals for living with humans as a source of food or as pets.
Economy The "taking in" of money and materials.
Egalitarian Word that describes the belief of equility of all people.
Emperor Ruler of a empire. Often is a male.
Empire A group of people who are ruled by a emperor. Bigger than a kingdom.
Feudalism Set up of relationships, was done by the Carolingians.
Foraging Getting food by gathering or fishing or hunting.
Hierarchy A ranking system of power between people or things.
Hierarchical Word that describes someone that is in a hierarchy.
Hunter-Gatherer A group of people who survived on hunting and gathering.
Irrigation A system that helps water crops at the farmer's will.
Monarchy Rule by a single person, who often claims divine inspiration and protection.
Monotheism A religion having one god.
Neolithic The time period from 7000 B.C.E to the development of metals by a person.
Nomadic The life of moving around and never staying at one place.
Pastoral Living in one place and domesticaing animals for food.
Paleolithic Time of period from Homo sapiens to 7000 B.C.E. Also called Old Stone Age.
Philosophy The search of knowlegde and truths of the world.
Polytheism Belief of many gods.
River Valley The area of where some tribes lived near which gave them their names.
Sedentary Staying in one place in a siting posture or just staying in one area.
Settlement Permanent area to stay at.
Subsistence The state of existing or life.
Surplus That amount that is more than needed.
Sustenance Needs of livelihood.
Theocracy A government that thinks of god as the supreme ruler.
Traditional Special routens that have been past down over the years.
Urbanization To make or cause to be urban.
Vassals Came from Europe. A noble would owe feudal duties to a superior ( also called suzerain)
