| Egalitarian | Word that describes the belief of equility of all people. |
| Emperor | Ruler of a empire. Often is a male. |
| Empire | A group of people who are ruled by a emperor. Bigger than a kingdom. |
| Feudalism | Set up of relationships, was done by the Carolingians. |
| Foraging | Getting food by gathering or fishing or hunting. |
| Hierarchy | A ranking system of power between people or things. |
| Hierarchical | Word that describes someone that is in a hierarchy. |
| Hunter-Gatherer | A group of people who survived on hunting and gathering. |
| Irrigation | A system that helps water crops at the farmer's will. |
| Monarchy | Rule by a single person, who often claims divine inspiration and protection. |

| Neolithic | The time period from 7000 B.C.E to the development of metals by a person. |
| Nomadic | The life of moving around and never staying at one place. |
| Pastoral | Living in one place and domesticaing animals for food. |
| Paleolithic | Time of period from Homo sapiens to 7000 B.C.E. Also called Old Stone Age. |

| Sedentary | Staying in one place in a siting posture or just staying in one area. |

| Surplus | That amount that is more than needed. |
| Sustenance | Needs of livelihood. |
| Theocracy | A government that thinks of god as the supreme ruler. |
| Traditional | Special routens that have been past down over the years. |
| Urbanization | To make or cause to be urban. |
| Vassals | Came from Europe. A noble would owe feudal duties to a superior ( also called suzerain) |
