| Boycott | A form of protest where people refuse to buy or use certain goods to force a change |
| Duty | A tax placed on goods imported from another country. |
| Grievance | An official complain about something believed to be wrong or unfair. |
| Loyalist | An American colonist who wanted to stay loyal to Great Britain and the King. |
| Militia | A body or ordinary citizens trained to fight as soldiers in emergencies, rather than a full time military force. |
| Patriot | An American colonist who wanted independence from Great Britain. |
| Petition | A formal written request signed by many people asking an authority or government to fix a problem. |
| Propaganda | Information (often misleading or exaggerated) used to promote a specific political cause or opinion. |
| Revenue | Income or money collected by a government, usually through taxes. |
| Revolution | A complete and sudden overthrow of a government or system to replace it with a new one. |
| Tyranny | Cruel, harsh, or unfair rule of a government. |
| Tyrant | A ruler who abuses their power in a cruel or unreasonable way. |
