Time- distance decay interaction between places decreases as the time, or distance required to reach increases due to cost etc
Time-space compression Technology reduces perceived distance between places. Cost to move decreases. Absolute distance stays same
Geographical information system Digital system that collects, stores, organize, layers, map, and analyze spatial data to reveal patterns
global positioning system Satellite based navigation system that determine precise absolute locations on earth using latitude/ longitude coordinates
remote sensing collection of geographical data about earth surface from a distance using satellite to observe land usage
geocaching Recreational activity in which individuals use GPS technology to hide/ seek containers, demonstrating human interactions with and organization of space.
