Absolute Location An exact point on Earth's surfaced expressed by a coordinate system such as latitude and longitude.
Cartography The science or practice of making maps.
Cite To refer to something.
Civilization An advanced state of human society with a high level of culture, specialization, infrastructure, stable food supply, government, technology, belief systems, writing, and social structure.
Colonize To claim land for a nation by establishing settlement.
Economic Factor Something influential related to the availability of resources, employment opportunities, or trade patterns.
Economy The money and resources in a region and how they are used by producers and consumers.
Immunity The ability to resist infection or not be harmed by a particular disease.
Imperialism A policy of extending a country's power and influence throughout colonization , military force, and other means.
Isolated Separated from others; without interaction.
Mercantilism An economic policy in which the goal is to gain wealth by exporting more goods than are imported.
Mission A building or group of buildings used by a religious organization to spread its wealth.
Northwest Passage A trade route by water through North American connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
Political Factor Something influential related to governmental leadership or citizens' lives or rights.
Religious Factor Something influential related to an organized set of beliefs used to worship of a God or group of Gods.
Trade The buying and selling of goods and services.
