World War II Terms and Leaders

| Blitzkrieg | A fast-moving military strategy, meaning "lightning war" used by German forces |
| Axis | The alliance formed between Germany, Italy and Japan during World War II |
| Adolf Hitler | The dictator of Germany who started World War II by invading nearby countries |
| Benito Mussolini | The leader of Italy who allied with Germany during World War II |
| Appeasement | The policy of giving in to aggressive demands in hopes of avoiding war |
| Hideki Tojo | Japanese military leader who became an important wartime prime minister during WWII |
| Lend-Lease Act | President Roosevelt created this to support countries fighting Germany by allowing the US to send war supplies to Allied nations. |
| Neville Chamberlain | The British Prime Minister who believed that allowing Hitler to take some territory would prevent another major war. |
