What problems did settlers at jamestown face? They had to work and they where not especting too.they dident know how to set up a settlement.
Why did the pilgrims have an easier time surviving than the Jamestown colony? They know how to set up a settlement. they where organized.
What crops were grown in the middle colonies and what where the known as because of this? They grew, grain, wheet, rye, and barly, they where known as the breadbasket colony.
What activites contributed to the middle colonies economy? the farming of grains,trade, fishing, and manafacturing.
What was the geography in the New England colonies and what jobs did they have because of this? rocky soil, sort growing season thick forests and coast line . the coast line had many ports and harbors so they could build ships, fish,whaling, lumbering, trade
What products were grown on plantations? topacco, rice,indago (blue dye) cash crops
explain why plantation where self sufficient. plantations were self sufficent because they where able to provide everthing for everyone - food, clothing, shelter, without needin to go off the plantation.
Who are proprieters? People who had land to divide up
What is religious tolerance? When you can practice any religion you want
Why were Connecticut and Rhode Island settled? The believed the government had to much power so they left Massachussets
Who were the Puritans? People who lived in Plymouth and believed Church and State should be separate
Why did the Puritans settle in Massachusetts? It had inexpensive land and people could start businesses.
