Arab Spring A wave of pro-democracy protests, uprisings, and armed rebellions that spread across the Middle East and North Africa
Partition of British Palestine Mandate A proposal to divide the mandated territory into separate Arab and Jewish states
Suez Canal Crisis a 1956 international conflict triggered when Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser nationalized the British-French-owned Suez Canal Company
