What is an arch? A structure that spans a space and support structure and weight above it.
What is an Aqueduct? A human made raised channel that carries water to places.
What is Civil Law? A legal system based on a written code of laws.
Who are Romulus and Remus? Twin boys abandoned and thrown into the Tiber River to die. They founded Rome. Named after Romulus.

Hannibal and his son swore to never what? They swore to never befriend the Romans.
How did Hannibal and his son swear? A blood oath

What is Carthage? Carthage is a city in northern Africa. Rome= STRONG ARMY CARTHAGE= STRONG NAVY

Who ended up taking their life? Why? Hannibal. So he wouldn't end up being a Roman prisoner
What was the result of the Punic Wars? Rome took control of Northern Africa & the majority of countries along the Mediterranean Sea.
Who avenged Caesar's death? Octavian Caesar
How did he avenge Caesar's death? By killing Caesar's murderers in a civil war.
Who was Octavian's rivials? Mark Antony, and Antony's ally Cleopatra, the queen of Egypt.
With Octavian's victory, what was dead? The Republic. It was replaced by a monarchy.
Who become the first emperor? Octavian Caesar
How many times was Caesar stabbed? 23 times
What was Julius Caesar before he became a Dictator? A soldier
How many war elephants did Carthage's army have? 40 elephants
How many soldiers were in Carthage's army? 40,000 men
