Terms used in the study of Culture

basic human rights Basic rights and freedoms that all humans are entitled to .
cultural diversity Many types of culture.
culture The way of life of a group of people.
ethnocentrisim Belief that your culture is the best, better than all others.
geographic isolation Being separated from others by geographic features (water, mountains, etc.)
persecution Denying an individual or group of people basic rights.
prejudice Forming an opinion that is not based on facts.
tolerance Accepting that people have different cultural beliefs.
