| Pilgrimage | A journey to a holy place |
| Mosque | A Muslim house of worship |
| Cape | A point of land that sticks out into water, much like a peninsula |
| Circumnavigate | To travel completely around something, usually by water |
| Conquistador | Spanish explorer |
