| Inauguration (N) | A ceremony introducing a new president into office |
| Precedent (N) | Something done of said that becomes an example for others to follow; an example or guide |
| Foreign Policy (N) | A goverment's plan of action in dealing with other nations |
| Domestic Policy (N) | A goverment's plan of action in dealing with issues and needs in their own country |
| Neutrality (N) | A country that doesn't favor any side in a dispute involving other countries |
| Embargo (N) | A prohibition or blocking of trade with a certain country; a ban or trade; when a gov. refuses to trade with another country |
| Nullify (V) | To legally overturn; to make something invalid |
| Monroe Doctrine (N) | President Monroe's foreign policy stating that European countries should not interfere in the Americas |
| Immigrant (N) | A person who moves from their home country to live in a new country |
| Nativism (N) | Belief that native-born Americans are superior to foreigners; the practice of favoring native-born citizens over immigrants |
