debt something, often money, that is owed
disputed territory land that is claimed by multiple groups
liberty freedom, especially freedom from government tyranny
neutrality the state of not supporting either side in a conflict
political rights rights of a citizen to participate in government that are expressed in a constitution or other laws
repeal to cancel a law
representation process of allowing citizens to shape the decisions made by the government through the representatives chosen by them; ability to vote or have an opinion
tax money that you have to pay to the government so that it can pay for public services
tyranny the unfair use of government power
revolution a dramatic and wide-reaching change in the way something is structured in favor of a new system
