Social Studies – Contributions and Changemakers in United States History

Changemaker An individual who brings about significant change in society through innovative ideas or actions.
Community A group of people living in the same area or having a particular characteristic in common.
Equality The state of being equal, especially in status, rights, or opportunities.
Segregation The practice of separating people based on race, religion, or other differences.
Justice Just behavior or treatment; the quality of being fair and reasonable.
