boycott Refusing to buy or use something to protest.
patriots A colonist who wanted independence from Britain.
loyalists People/soldiers loyal to the British
mercantilism A system where colonies make money for the mother country using the colonies’ goods and resources for trade.
allies Countries that help each other and are friends.
quartering (military) Forcing people to let soldiers live in their homes
grievance A complaint about something unfair
unalienable rights Rights everybody is born with that can’t be taken away
tyranny Cruel and unfair government/rule
levy Officially make people pay a tax or fee
