TermDefinition
Monsoon Season Rainy season in India that lasts for four months.
Peninsula A piece of land surrounded on 3 sides islands if it's surrounded on 4 sides.
Aryan Nomadic people who moved into and took over the Indus River Valley from the North.
Sanskrit The main language of the Aryans.
Vedus "Books of Knowledge" that contains much of the stories and songs of the Aryans.
Hinduism The main religion of India that is based on Aryans beliefs.
Recarnation The Hindu belief that the spirit or soul goes from one life to the next.
Caste In Hinduism, a lifelong social group into which one is born into.
Karma Your actions, good or bad, which affects you.
Dharma The order if the universe - your job or duty in the Caste System.
Buddhism The religious/philosophy that is based on the teaching of Buddha.
Meditation In Buddhism, a way of clearing the mind.
Enlightment In Buddhism, a state of pure goodness, the goal of reincarnation.
Nirvana The goal of Buddhist when the cycle of reincarnation.
