1C DIY Vocabulary Study Tool

TermDefinition
Mountains Mountains are rough large elevations with a peak and a base.
Hills A hill is a elevated section of land that is higher than sea level but not as high or tall as a mountain.
River A river is a body of water that usually will flowing out into an ocean
Desert A desert is a dry place that is usually really hot and hard to grow any crops.
Cataract A cataract is a waterfall or set of waterfalls that fall faster and stronger
Sea The sea is a big body of water that comes from the unit of physical geography
Gulf A gulf is a deep inlet of the ocean surrounded by land.
Oaisis A stream or small body of water in the desert, usually has plants around it, like grass, trees, etc
Delta a triangular tract of sediment deposited at the mouth of a river, typically where it diverges into several outlets.
Valley A valley is slope near a hill or mountain that usually has a river or stream through it.
