| Suffrage | the right to vote |
| Dehumanize | the act of regarding, representing, or treating a person or group as less than human |
| Conserve | to protect or protect something |
| Capitalism | a country’s businesses are controlled by private owners |
| Expose | to reveal the truth about someone |
| Reform | to make changes on something to improve it |
| Independent | free from outside control |
| Bargain | to negotiate the terms and conditions of a transaction |

| Tycoon | a wealthy, powerful person in business |
| Scab | nickname for a strikebreaker |
| Monopoly | a company that controls an entire industry’s prices and services |
