Monopoly a company that controls an entire industry’s prices and services

Inflation the increase in prices of goods and services over time
Strike a refusal by employees to work
Boycott the refusal to buy or use the services of a business
Picket Line a form of protest in which workers gather outside of a business with protest signs
Laissez-faire a government does not get involved in businesses
Lockout the exclusion of employees by their employers from their place of work until terms are agreed to
Strikebreaker a person who works in place of others who are on strike
Consolidation the process of merging two or more companies together
Prohibitionist a person who supports the idea of making the sale of alcohol illegal
