Locate on a world and regional political-physical map- Amazon River, Amazon Rain

TermDefinition
Locate to find or discover where something is.
World Map a map that shows most or all of the Earth's surface.
Political Map shows the different places where people live, like countries, states, and cities.
Physical Map shows the natural features of the land like mountains, rivers, and valleys
Continent a huge piece of land on Earth.
Physical Features special things about the way an area is shaped or looks, the parts that make it different, like mountains or rivers.
Canal a long man-made waterway that helps boats and ships travel from one place to another.
Sea a big area of salty water that is smaller than an ocean and is usually found near land.
River a long, flowing line of water that usually starts from high places like mountains and flows down to lower areas, like a lake or an ocean.
Gulf a big curved part of the sea that is surrounded by land on three sides.
Ocean a huge, salty body of water that covers most of the Earth.
Desert a dry, sandy place where it doesn't rain much.
Mountain A really big and tall natural landform that rises up high into the sky.
Rainforest a very wet and warm place where it rains a lot.
