| Equator | 0 degrees latitude |
| Prime Meridian | 0 degrees longitude |
| absolute location | Exact location of a place on the earth described by global coordinates |
| relative location | where a place is located in relation to another place |
| place | uniqueness of a location |
| location | The position of anything on Earth's surface. |
| region | An area distinguished by a common combination of trends or features. |
