Absolute Location a specific spot; found using latitude and longitude
Relative Location explains where a location in relation to another place
Latitude Horizontal lines that run East to West and measure locations North or South of the Equator
Equator an imaginary line at 0 degrees latitude that divides the Earth into Northern and Southern hemispheres
Longitude Vertical lines that run North to South and measure how far East or West a location is from the Prime Meridian

Why is specialization important? Countries focus on what they do best and trade for what they need
Good include tangible items (things you can touch) such as food, clothing, houses, + furniture

Need something you have to have in order to survive
Want something that makes life more comfortable
Traditional Economy Used to trade or barter with people and it mostly always involves agriculture
Command Economy Government planning groups that make decisions based on how many resources, time, and money they have
Market Economy Economic decisions are made by individuals instead of the government
Capital Resources man-made assets that are used to produce goods or services and are used by a business over a long period of time
Human Resources made from the Earth that people use to support themselves
Natural Resources knowledge, skills, training, and experience that people need to produce goods and services in an economy
Consumer person who satisfies a need or want by buying a good or service
Producer person or group of people who use resources to make goods or provide services
What factors influence culture? ideas, beliefs, customs, location, behavior
What is cultural diffusion? new customs blending with old customs
What kind of government system does Great Britain have? Monarchy
What kind of government system does America have? Democracy
What kind of government system did Native Americans have? Chiefdom
