Empire A group of nations rules by one authority.
Econamy The system of production, distribution and consumption.
Domesticate To tame a wild animal.
Democracy A form of government where a group of people make decisions.
Trade The buying and selling of goods and services.
Surplus A quantity much larger than is needed.
Society A group of people who are joined together common trait.
Geography Study of the physical environment and how people live in them.
History Written and other recorded events of people.
Medieval Characteristics of the time of chivalry and knighthood in the middle ages.
Polytheism The belief in many gods.
Religion A way of worshiping a god or gods.
Renaissance A period of great cultural and artistic rebirth that began in Italy after the Middle Ages.
Republic The government created in Italy where representative serve in the government. It was basis for many future governments - including the US's democracy.
Resource Something valuable or useful to a place or person.
Scarce Rare; hard to find; not a lot of.
Social Division/ Specialization A group that does a certain type of work.
Agriculture The raising of crops or animals.
Ancient Relating to an early time in history.
Archaeology The study of objects left behind by early people.
Artifact Any object made by people in the past.
