TermDefinition
Human trafficking The illegal trade of humans for labor etc
Trafficker Someone who trades people for unsolicited reasoning
Victim A person who is trafficked or exploited
Sex trafficking Victims are forced, manipulated into activities for the other persons benefit
Labor trafficking Forced labor in agriculture or etc, with little to no pay
Coercion Forcing through threats
Exploitation The act of taking advantage over someone’s vulnerabilities
Smuggling Moving people beyond borders with their consent
Red flags Warning signs that someone is a victim or trafficker
Safe harbor law Laws designed to protect trafficking victims from prosecution
Rehabilitation Helping survivors heal through specialized programs
