Define Renaissance. The revival of art and literature in Europe.
Define Humanism. Intellectual studies that focused on human achievements.
Define Humanities. Learning things that have to do with human culture like, literature history, art, music, and philosophy.
Define Secular. Focuses on worldly/political matter than the spiritual ones.
Define Skepticism. Doubting claims which leaves to people challenging explanations.
Define Machiavellian. The belief that a person be ruthless to get political power.
Define Patron. A person who supports artists, mainly financially.
Define Celebratelief. When people decided to use their potential during their lifetime instead of worrying about the afterlife.
Define Classical education. The study of Greek and Roman culture.
Define Indulgence. A payment which releases a person from their sins.
Define Heretic. A person who goes against the church.
Define Pre-destionation. A belief that everything has already been determined by God.
Define Vernacular. Native language.
Define Protestant. A person who has separated from the Roman Catholic Church during the Reformation.
What are Lutheranism beliefs? People only had to have faith in God to earn salvation.
What are Anglicanism beliefs? Believed that all people are born sinful but your sin could be washed away through baptism.
What are Anabaptism beliefs? No one who is living on earth can go to heaven because there is sin everywhere.
What are Calvinism beliefs? God has already picked who will be chosen for salvation.
Where did the Renaissance begin? Italy.
Who wrote The Prince? Machiavelli wrote it and he taught to show no mercy when getting what you want which was power.
