Define Dar-Al-Islam. Means house of Peace and it is where people can practice Islam.
Define Caliphate. The political leader of the Muslim community.
Define Caliph. A successor of the prophet Muhammad.
Define Secular. Means non-religious.
Define Bureaucracy. A system of government where the elected officials don't make important decisions, the appointed officials do.
Which continents did the silk road link? Asia, India, and Africa.
What is Baghdad? Capital of Iraq and good positions for trade.
What is a caravanserai? An inn where roadside travelers could recover from their journey, it also provided an opportunity for merchants to trade.
What is the silk road? An extensive trading route that allowed people to trade with places far away.
What is a bazaar? A market in a Middle Eastern or Asian country and people brought their daily goods there that they would trade with people from all over.
Define Confucianism. Being a good and virtuous humans.
Who started to build the Great Wall of China? Qin Shi Huang and he started to build it to protect them from barbarian attacks.
