Iran Hostage Crisis The U.S wanted to free U.S hostages. America placed sanctions on Iran until it was over.
Gulf War 1 (Persian Gulf War) The U.S wasn't going to let Kuwait be taken over by Iraq. The U.S vegan a massive air war.
Gulf War 11 (Iraq War) America was concerned that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. America did a coalition invasion.
Vietnam War The U.S supported S. Vietnam to spread of communism. America sent in troops to help South Vietnam
World War1 After the sinking of the Lusitania, the U.S fought with the Allied Forces. The U.S declared war on Germany.
World War 11 After the bombing at Pearl Harbor, the U.S entered World War 11. Our country declared war on Germany and Japan.
Alliance When two or more countries make an agreement to support each other if there's a problem
Treaty A official agreement with another country. President negotiates and Senate ratifies.
Ambassador A diplomat who is the official representative to another country
Diplomatic discussion Work with the other country to come to a peaceful conclusion
Military Action Members of the U.S military having presence in another country typically involving force.
Impose Sanctions Stop all relations with the country. (no trade, negotiating, and tourism)
