What effect did the land policies have on the Native Americans in the Northwest Territory? They were pushed off their lands by American settlers, and even though some fought back or signed treaty agreements to keep their land, the American government usually broke those treaties
What location made it easy for French and American troops to circle the British? Yorktown
How did the French support the colonies by providing troops, officers, and ships, which went a long way in helping the colonists defeat the British at Yorktown
How did women contribute during the war effort? women stayed home, tended to the farms while their husbands fought, they raised money for the war, and sometimes even fought in battle (usually by bringing water and supplies to troops.) They also wrote about the Revolution at home and spread the word

The British hoped to finally defeat the colonists in the Southern Colonies
