TermDefinition
Constitution The document that establishes the structure of the US. Government.
Legislative Branch The branch of government that makes the laws. The House of Representative and the Senate make up this branch.
Executive Branch The branch of government that enforces and carries out the laws. The president is the head of this branch.
Judicial Branch The branch of government that decides if laws are legal. The supreme court makes up this branch.
Representative Democracy A form of government in which people elect representatives to make decisions, policies, and laws.
