Vocabulary WordDefinition
Citizen a member of a community, state, or nation
Citizenship the duty and responsibility of a person that comes with being a member of a community
community a place where people live, work and play
democracy a form of government run by the people
government A group of people that makes laws, carries out laws, and decides if laws have been broken
laws Important rules written and carried out by government
responsibility being accountable to somebody or something

voting a way to make a decision and voice your opinion
