Primary Source Something created at the time in history when an event happened
Constitution The foundational law of America that explains the rules for the government and protects the rights of citizens
Congress Name for both the U.S. Senate & House of Representatives
Amendment A change or addition to a legal document
Bill of Rights The first 10 amendments to the U.S. Constitution. They limit the government's powers
Amity Friendship
Anti-Federalists Those who favored a weaker federal government that gave more power to the states and people
Federalist Papers A series of essays that supported the new government
Federalists People who wanted a strong central government with more power than the people or states
Formidable Mighty
