CRQ Vocabulary

TermDefinition
historical context Describe what came BEFORE the historical development in the document that LED TO it. You are describing a CAUSE of the development.
purpose reason for which something is done, created
reliability trustworthiness of a source- sources can be described as reliable, somewhat reliable, unreliable
audience spectators or listeners at a public event, piece of writing, or speech
point of view author's opinion regarding an event, person, topic
cause person or event that gives rise to an action, phenomenon, or condition, what leads up to another event
effect change which is a result or consequence of an action or other cause
smiliarity how people or events are alike, the same, what they have in common
difference how people or events are unalike, how they vary
geographic context where a historical event took place and why it took place there, how does the location affect the development
turning point major event, idea, or historical development that brings about significant change. It can be local, regional, national, or global.
