| Revolution | Change made to something, typically in the government. |
| Transportation Barrier | A geographic feature that prevents or slows transportation. |
| Transportation Corridor | A geographic feature that makes transportation easier. |
| Prime Minister | The elected head of government, similar to our president. |
| Genocide | The deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a certain ethnic group. |
| Euro | The currency used by the people in the European Union. |
| Feudal System | A social structure during the Middle Ages consisting of a king, lords, vassals, and serfs. |
| Parliament | A legislative body in various countries similar to our Congress. |
| Monarchy | Ruled by a Queen or King. |
| Innovation | A new method idea, product, etc. |
| Manufacturing | The making of articles on a large scale using machinery; industrial revolution |
| Alliance | An agreement to maintain a friendship. |
| Communism | A political and economic system in which all property and wealth is collectively owned by all members of society. |
| Foreign | Something from another country. |
| Domestic | Something from your own country. |
| Demographics | Information about people, like age, gender, or population size. |
| Life Expectancy | How long people are expected to live in a certain place. |
| GDP (Gross Domestic Product) | The total value of goods and services a country makes in a year. |
| Republic | A type of government where people vote for their leaders. |
| Democracy | A government where people have the power to make decisions by voting. |
| Absolute Monarchy | A government where a king or queen has total control. |
| Constitutional Monarchy | Laws and a constitution limit a government with a king or queen, but their power. |
| Imperialism | When a country takes over other lands to become more powerful. |
| Push-Pull Factors | Reasons people move to or leave a place (like better jobs or escaping danger). |
| Economy | The system of how money, goods, and services are made and used in a country. |
| Manufacturing | Making things in factories, like cars or clothes. |
| Productivity | How much work or goods are made in a certain amount of time. |
| Colonialism | When a country controls another land and uses its resources |
| Interdependence | When countries or people rely on each other to get what they need. |
| Socialism | A system where the government helps share resources more equally among people. |
