QuestionAnswer
public policy the laws and regulations that determine how problems can be solved in response to social issues
evidence information that can be used to prove a statement or support a conclusion
secondary source a document or other record of past events created by someone who was not present during he events or the time period in which they occurred
artifact an object made or used by people in the past
primary source a document or other record of past events created by someone who was present during the events or the time period in which they occurred
inquiry in history, the process of exploring the answers to questions about a certain time and place
point of view a person's way of thinking about or approaching a subject, as shaped by their character, experience, culture, and history
ensure to make sure or certain
chronology the order in which events occur, or the arrangement of events in the order in which they occur
refine remove unwanted elements, improve something
argument the position that researches take about a particular topic, based on the evidence that they have gathered
bias a personal learning or a preference for a particular outlook
historical interpretation the process of finding the meaning or significance of historical events
compelling question a question that does not have a simple or direct answer, but which requires some thought and investigation to answer
supporting question answer based on factual information that can be researched and proven. Supporting questions can help to answer compelling questions.
