QuestionAnswer
Aptitude test Measures a student's potential for learning a specific skill or body of knowledge. It assesses innate abilities and talents rather than acquired knowledge.
Ability Test measures a student's current level of skill or knowledge in a particular area.
Achievement Test Measures how much a student has learned in a specific subject or area of study.
Unit Test A test that covers a specific unit or topic within a course of study.
Analytical Scoring A method of scoring student work that involves breaking down the assignment into specific criteria and assigning points to each criterion.
Holistic Scoring A method of scoring student work that involves making an overall judgment of the quality of the work based on a general impression.
Formative Assessment Ongoing assessments that provide feedback to students and teachers during the learning process.
Summative Assessment Assessments that evaluate student learning at the end of a unit, course, or academic term.
Validity A valid test accurately reflects the knowledge, skills, or abilities it is designed to assess.
Reliability A reliable test produces similar results when administered repeatedly under similar conditions.
Score Report typically includes the student's scores, percentile ranks, and other relevant data.
Percentile Rank If a student scores in the 75th percentile, it means they performed as well as or better than 75% of the other students in the group.
