World History Paleolithic Age

QuestionAnswer
What are fossils? The perserved remains of ancient human, animals, or plants.
How are ancient remains dated? They use diffent ways to date the fossils. Like to compare objects and radioactive dating is the another one.
Why do scientists look for artifacts? Because they need to identify patterns and they can help archaeologists understand what the people in the past ate and live.
Who was Lucy? She is a human that lived 3.2 million years ago. She provided evidence to the scientists that humans walked upright on two legs.
Who was Ardi She is a human that lived 4.4 million years ago. She probably walked on two legs but slowly ans akwardly. She is heavier and taller than Lucy.
Who are hunter-gatherers? People lives by hunting animals and gathering plants.
How were the first tools made? First, they made it from stone. Later, toolmakers become more skillful. They make thinner and sharper stone blades.
How did fire afffect human development? People could have light in the dark nights, cook meat and plants, and use flames to aid in hunting and to scare off dangerous animals.
What was life like for hunter-gatherers They live in small group or, bands. After the animals are all gone, they move to a new place.
