Hull House a settlement house that helped the poor
How did the Hull House help? -provided day nurseries for mothers who worked –organized sports/ theater –taught English to immigrants
Where else could people turn for help? religious organizations
What did the middle class do? Joined clubs and societies (cultural groups)
