Connecticut or Great Compromise Sets up a Bicameral Legislative Body. The upper house-Senate- is equal every state gets 2, and the lower house-House of Representatives- is based on population. (Now it is capped at 435 members)
3/5 Compromise To determine how slaves would be counted toward representation in the House. 3 out of every 5 would be counted toward representation.

Federalist People who wanted to ratify the Constitution. George Washington, James Madison and Alexander Hamilton
Anti-Federalist People who did not want to ratify the Constitution. They thought it gave the federal government too much power. Thomas Jefferson, George Mason and Patrick Henry
Federalism The hierarchy of government- Federal government is the supreme law of the land followed by state and then local laws.
Bill of Rights The first 10 amendments to the Constitution- They give extra protections to the state. This will allow for the ratification of the Constitution.
Executive Branch This is the office of the Presidency- This branch enforces/executes the laws
Legislative Branch This is Congress- This branch makes and passes laws
Judicial Branch The Court System- This branch judges whether laws and act by Congress and the President violate the Constitution or not.

Article I Sets up the Legislative Branch
Article II Sets up the Executive Branch
Article III Sets up the Judicial Branch
Article I Section 8 Necessary and Proper Clause: Congress Can pass laws that are necessary and proper in the running of the government.
