| Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen | A document that is concerned about the government neglecting the National Assembly of France. |
| Estates-General | A consultative assembly of the different french classes. |
| First Estate | The people who ran the Catholic church and are called the clergy |
| Second Estate | The nobility of France that had special privileges. |
| Third Estate | everyone else, had no privileges and were very poor. |
| National Assembly | A France assembly formed by the representatives of the Third Estate. |
| Tennis Court Oath | The National Assembly swore not to stop meeting until France had a constitution |
