QuestionAnswer
Oligarchy government by the few, sometimes a government in which a small group exercises control especially for corrupt and selfish purposes. The citizen has a very limited role
Democracy a government in which supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections
Absolute Monarchy ruled by a king, queen, or emperor who has unlimited power
Republic a government in which the people elect representatives to vote on legislation
Parliamentary Democracy a republic where the executive is elected by the legislature
Presidential Democracy a republic in where the president is elected independently from the legislature
Dictatorship Government controlled by a single leader
Constitution System of basic rules and principles by which a government is organized
Government Group of people who have the power to make and enforce laws for a country or area.
Autocracy a system of government by one person with absolute power
Constitutional Monarchy A form of national government in which the power of the monarch (the king or queen) is restrained by a parliament, by law, or by custom.
