citizenship membership in a society that comes with rights and duties
constitutional republic a government in which representatives are chosen by the people and whose power is limited by a constitution

Amendment a minor change or addition to U.S. Constitution
Ratification the action of signing or giving formal consent to a treaty, contract, or agreement, making it officially valid.
Veto a constitutional right to reject a decision or proposal made by a law-making body.
Political Party a group of persons organized to acquire and exercise political power.
Federalists a member of a major political party in the early years of the U.S. that wanted a strong central government.
Anti-Federalists a person who opposed the adoption of the U.S. Constitution.
