What Does B.C stand for? B.C stands for "before Christ". So, it means the years before the birth of Jesus happen.
What does A.D. mean? A.D. means anno domini which in Latin language means "year of the Lord"
Is there a year 0? To date events before the birth of Jesus, or "B.C." historians count backwards from A.D. 1. There is no year "0." The year before A.D. 1 is 1 B.C.
What is a timeline? A timeline is another way to track the passage of time. Timelines show the order of events within a period of time. They also show the amount of time between events.
