Human Characteristic the economy of a place, the businesses located in a place
Compass Rose a symbol on a map that shows directions
Legend the boxed list showing what the symbols or colors on a map represent
Symbol a mark, a drawing, or color on a map that stands for something else
Scale a ruler that shows distances on a map
Elevation the distance above or below sea level
Political Map a map that shows information such as borders, capitals, and important cities
Thematic Map Single topic maps that focus on a theme such as elevation, resource, population, precipitation, etc.
Economy Wealth and resources of an area
Social relating to people and their social activities
Environmental relating to the physical features and its climate
