Soviet An ELECTED COUNCIL OF WORKERS, soldiers, and peasants formed during the Russian revolution and subsequent periods.
Autocracy A system of government in which SUPREME power is concentrated in the hands of ONE person, the Autocrat.
Proletariat The working class -LOWEST CLASS - especially those who lack ownership of the means of production and sell their labor for wages.
czar The title of the RULER of Russia before the Russian revolution- equivalent to a king or emperor
Romanov Czarist ROYAL FAMILY who ruled Russia for 3 centuries
Bolshevik A MEMBER of the MAJORITY faction of the Russian social democratic workers party
totalitarianism ABSOLUTE , UNLIMITED POWER by a ruler and control over every phase of life
provisional government an EMERGENCY or interim GOVERNMENT set up when a political void has been created by the collapse of a very large government
czarist RELATING TO the system of government under the rule of the TSAR (CZAR) in Russia before the Russian revolution

communism a political and economic ideology advocating for a CLASSLESS society where resources are owned collectively and DISTRIBUTED according to need
