Patriot A colonist who opposed Britain's actions and policies before and during the American Revolution.
Loyalist A person who remains loyal to Great Britain during that American Revolution.

Stamp Act A law passed by the British government that taxed all of the paper used by the colonists.
Sons of Liberty A group of colonial men who protested the usjust taxes of the British

tariff Taxes on products coming into a country. (Taxes on imports goods)
customs Taxes on products coming into a country. (Collocation of taxes) (physical money received.)
Townshend Acts A series of acts that placed taxes on products being sold to the colonists.
