Holocaust Vocab

TermDefinition
Aryan used in Nazism to designate a supposed master race of non-Jewish Caucasians usually having Nordic features.
Ghetto (WWII version) Ghettos separating Jews from the rest of the population were part of the Nazi plan to destroy Europe's Jews.
Refugee a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster.
Genocide Mass killing of certain people.
Antisemitism Prejudice or discrimination against Jews
Torah The "teachings" of Judaism
Bias Showing more favor to a person or thing.
Holocaust destruction or slaughter on a mass scale, especially caused by fire or nuclear war.
Mischlinge a pejorative legal term which was used in Nazi Germany to denote persons of mixed "Aryan" and non-Aryan, such as Jewish, ancestry as they were classified by the Nuremberg racial laws of 1935.
Scapegoat Pinning the blame on someone else.
