Reformation

QuestionAnswer
Simony Its the practice of selling and buying positions in the Catholic Church instead of granting those based on their merit.
Protestant People who protested against the Roman Catholic Church and then broke away and started their own faith.
Jesuits Are religious order that are trained with military discipline to carry on their purpose as teachers and missionaries.
John Wycliffe Translated the bible into English. Disagreed with church corruption, and fought it. His writings were banned from being printed/sale. Many of his followers were killed just for following him. Laid the foundation of the reformation.
John Calvin Believed in predestination. Believer in hard work. Believer if you were profitable in work, it showed favor from God. Became a political leader for Switzerland.
Missionaries People who try to change and/or convert people to a particular religion.
Predestination The belief that a person’s salvation is determined at birth by God.
