QuestionAnswer
What is Consent of the governed? A condition urged by many as a requirement for legitimate government: that the authority of a government should depend on the consent of the people.
What is Limited government A type of government in which its functions and powers are prescribed, limited, and restricted by law.
What is Rule of law? Government by law, adherence to due process of law.
What is a Democracy? Government by the people and a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system.
What is a Representative Governent? A form of government in which the citizens delegate authority to elected representatives.
What are the Charters of the Virginia Company of London? Gave colonists the same rights as English men in England.
What is The Virginia Declaration of Rights? First modern Constitutional protection of individual rights for citizens of North America.
What is the Declaration of Independence? Its a document that gave us Freedom from England.
What are the Articles of Confederation? The first constitution of the 13 American states, adopted in 1781 and replaced in 1789 by the Constitution of the United States.
What is the Virginia Statue for Religous Freedom? It was the first document to give Americans Religous freedom.
What is the Constitution of the United States of the America? (The preamble, Articles 1,2, and 3, and the Bill of Rights Articles 1, 2, and 3 make the formation of our current government. The bill of rights was our first 10 unalienable rights. The Preamble of the Constitution States the Fundamentals of the Constitution.
