Delegates a person sent or authorized to represent others, in particular an elected representative sent to a conference.
Ratify sign or give formal consent to
Federalist a person who advocates or supports a system of government in which several states unite under a central authority.
Anti-Federalist any person who opposes federalism.
Articles of Confederation the original constitution of the US, ratified in 1781, which was replaced by the US Constitution in 1789.
Popular Sovereignty government based on consent of the people
Constitution a body of fundamental principles or established precedents according to which a state or other organization is acknowledged to be governed.
Amend/Amendment modify formally, as a legal document or legislative bill.
veto a constitutional right to reject a decision or proposal made by a law-making body.
Separation Of Powers an act of vesting the legislative, executive, and judicial powers of government in separate bodies.
Continental Congress the governing body by which the American colonial governments coordinated their resistance to British rule during the first two years of the American Revolution.
