Scab A person who replaces a worker that went on strike

Cartel Loosely associated businesses making the same product, done in secret
Horizontal Integration Methods that brings firms from the same business together (Rockefeller method)
Economy of Scale Mass production causes price per unit to go down
Trust Manage many companies as a single unit (not causing merging to happen)
Pinkertons A private police force known for its ability to break strikes
Anarchist Political radicals who oppose all government control
Collective Bargaining Workers negotiate as a group with their employer
Socialism State ownership (such as businesses)
Vertical Integration A method by which a company gains control of all aspects of production.
Yellow Dog Contract A gift to institutions or to the public that help humankind
